Kanina nasa Trinoma ako para magmovie marathon. After every movie, since may 30 minutes of rest, dun muna ako sa Timezone para maglaro ng Percussion Master.

Apat na movie yung papanoorin ko. Nung andun na ko sa 1/3 nung Millennium Mambo, biglang nakuha ko yung text about kay RJ. After nun, biglang naalala ko yung mga pangyayari nung summer break of 2007 sa Gateway.

Paalis na dapat ako sa Gateway nung day na yun kasi wala na kong magawa. Tapos nung andun na ko malapit sa Max’s, nakita ko si Renan

Me: Uy! Reeeeeenan! Musta?

Renan: Berting! (insert kamustahan moments here) ano gagawin mo?

Me: Wala naman. Kakalaro ko lng ng Percussion Master. Saya.

Renan: Wow! Laro tayo! (after 1 second) Kaso marami pala akong gagawin… (after 5 seconds) Hindi sige laro tayo. Minsan na nga lang tayo magkita eh. (insert Renan’s laughter here)

Edi laro kami ng dalawang rounds. Happy naman. Talo ko siya sa parehong rounds pero uber close naman. Pero hindi na important yun. I appreciate the fact that he played an arcade game with me kahit na may school stuff pa siya. La lang.

After ng flashback, lumuha ang aking mga mata. Sa eksena kung saan may hiwalayan, sinabayan ko umiyak si Shu Qi sa loob ng sinehan. May katabi akong old Chinese person sa right ko pero kausap niya yung isa pang old Chinese person na katabi nya. Kaya wala lang. Yah medyo emo, pero, wait. Hindi siya emo. Malungkot naman talaga and hindi ko sinadya yun. Grabe lng talaga.

Tapos ngayon na narealize ko na galing pala ako ng Timezone kanina, dapat naglaro ako ng Tekken DR. Tapos ngayon naman flashback ulit.

December 2006. Party sa bahay ni Nac Bowie Santiago. Habang hinihintay ang guests, naglalaro kami ng Tekken. Nung kalaban ko si Renan, gamit ko si Bryan Fury and si Jin Kazama yung kanya. Lagi nyang napapaparry yung mid attacks ko kaya hindi ako makapag-combo ng matino. Arg.

After 8 rounds, final round na. Race to five kasi. Super ganda ng laban kasi may point na pareho kaming 10 % na lang yung life. Tapos nung pasugod na kami, biglang pinatay ni Bowie yung PS2. GRR!!

Bale asaran kami after nun. Hehe... Sabi pa nga nya, “Nakakaasar talaga si Bowie. Natalo na sana kita.” Hehe... Pareho kami eager for a rematch. Kaso makukuha ko na lang yung chance na yun kapag nagkita-kits kami sa console palace ni God… oh well... Renan! Magpractice ka na!! haha!!

Should we help substance abusers or not? Is it the government’s responsibility to rehabilitate these people? Well, I don’t know. My entry doesn’t have anything to do with that issue.

It’s been a while…

Wow. It’s been a while since I wrote anything in my freaking blog. Well, it’s been a while since I wrote anything unrelated to academic thingamajigs. It’s not that I’m uberly busy to the extent that I can’t make time for internalization, it’s just that the writing urge that I had two years ago was nullified due to unforeseen sloth + gloom inducers such as, well, a lot of stuff. And despite the fact that there were numerous assignments given by various professors, time management would’ve permitted me to hype up the little writing urge that was left in me, thus allowing me to write a little something about my day, every freaking day.

Hell, even if I learn the essential time management thingies, I may or may not be able to get my good old writing urge due to more sloth + gloom inducers and other grr stuff. (Typing “sloth + gloom inducer” isn’t a burden, but if I apply certain time management principles, I could lessen the required time to express the idea with the use of easy to draw symbols, acronyms, signs, etc. Therefore, I will use “SGI.”{This principle is only acceptable when writing informal gizmos. Since this blog entry has nothing in common with shitty scholarly work [yes, shitty because it’s too damn formal and after you read about five paragraphs, all it tells you is that drugs are bad. I mean, why can’t he/she write it in just one sentence?], the rule applies and we’re all happy. WOO!! <Actually, if I apply other time management principles, this parenthetical comment is way off the mark because I don’t really need it to convey my main purpose of using “SGI” as an alternative for “sloth + gloom inducer.” But, hell. That’s the beauty of writing blog entries. You can write anything you want. I have a “< >” in a “{ }” with a “[ ]” that is all part of a “( ).” WOO!! I love it.>})

So, if there’s no assurance that I’ll get the old zest back into my writing personality (writing personality? What the hell?), why am I writing now? Should I continue writing even with the possibility that my writing-urge-meter might hit rock bottom after writing this entry? If that happens, could I hype myself up to write academic papers in the future? What if there’re sudden SGI’s? Would that hinder me from accomplishing the required stuff? Is someone reading this entry? Does anyone even visit this blog? Are my questions significant or not? Is it appropriate to ask lots of questions in just one paragraph? Is it okay if I go on with this nonsense? When will I die? Should I ask that question? Can anyone actually answer that question? Am I special? Are we all special? If we’re all special, does that mean that no one is? What is life? What is love? Why are the words “life” and “love” similar in terms of the number of letters, the first letter, and the last letter? Is life analogous to love? Is it possible to live without love? Is it possible to love without life? Why do birds suddenly appear every time you’re near? Why do stars fall down from the sky every time you walk by? Why is my phone not ringing? Is it supposed to ring? Will Arnold Schwarzenegger be the next president of the United States of America? Is Orlando Bloom homosexual? Is Keanu Reeves homosexual? Is Leonardo Di Caprio serious about his bisexuality or he’s just another homosexual? (Disclaimer: I have nothing against homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, metro-sexuals, transvestites, etc.)

(Wait a minute. I’m typing. Well, it’s sort of analogous to writing but it’ll be more precise if I say that I’m typing. Hmm…)

“Help us! Should we rewrite the entire essay for the sake of precision? (long pause) Great! I never knew that we don’t to give a damn about precision when writing blog entries. (short pause) Now, what do we do next? (long pause) Right! We should just continue writing this entry. Let’s go, Boots!” – Dora the Explorer. HAHAHA!! BOOYAH!!

I can’t answer all of those questions because a lot of them have nothing to do with what I want to say.

So, why do I write? I’m not sure. Hmm, maybe it’s because I love it. Maybe that’s it. I do it because I love it. I don’t care if I don’t get anything from it. In fact, I never made a single centavo from writing about various forms of the mind’s nothingness. I don’t need to write because I won’t die if Gloria Macapagal Arroyo gave me a restraining order. And if that’s the case, she might kill me if I write stuff, but it doesn’t matter because I’ll write anyway. Why? Simply because I love writing about nonsense and I’ll write whatever comes to my skull if I want to write about that particular thingy.

So, what if the SGI’s add up to my crappy day? Well, if I can’t do anything about the external grrness (especially if it’s too darn painful), then I’d try to write something anyway. If I really can’t put it into words, then, that’s it. I’ll have to accept the fact that I can’t write at that particular moment but I don’t have to hate writing because of that. I mean, will you automatically quit playing Pusoy Dos if you lose? Will you go back to the main menu of Tekken 5 after being owned by Jinpachi? Will you kill yourself after being neglected by someone because your efforts are useless, unappreciated, and unwanted? Will you break up with your special someone just because of an argument about an outdated price tag or a sheet of tissue paper? Will you brand a close friend as an unbearable foe after a disagreement about a favorite pop star? Will you stop playing football because you can’t score goals? Will you stop supporting your basketball team after a heartbreaking loss? Will you allow yourself to have an incomplete assignment because your arm has an ant bite?

My point here isn’t about the writing thingy. I just used it to convey my message because it’s easier to develop ideas if all your paragraphs are focused on a concrete action. So, if I mentioned something about washing cars and/or cleaning baseball cards, then I could’ve used those things as devices to express my thoughts.

I just want to say that there will always be nuisances connected to the thingies that we love. It’ll always bug, or even hurt us when it pops up, but there’s always something you can do about it. I’m not saying that you should overlook every obstacle. I’m saying that if you know that there’s a barrier, you can find a way to shatter it. It may take some time, but it’ll pay off.

If you can’t score goals, then practice your soccer skills. If you miss your free throws all the time, just keep on shooting behind to free throw line. If you love playing the violin but the violin doesn’t love you, then keep playing or enroll yourself in a music workshop. If you can’t stand the sight of cockroaches, then learn about them through encyclopedias and other online sources so that you can prevent them from lurking in your house. If the big boss character in your favorite video game is too tough to beat, then go to training mode and practice your combos and special moves.

And so, Carding’s mom and dad set forth on another journey to look for the perfect gift for their son. Since it’d been ages since they visited Rockwell, they decided to go there.

Floor after floor, Carding’s dad, oh what the heck. Typing “Carding’s dad” takes too freaking long to accomplish compared to any freaking task that only requires anyone to type a three or four letter name.

Hell, because of that, I shall name Carding’s dad, “Bob”. Yeah. Bob. It’s a nice name. Well, it’s a nice generic name. It’s nice because it’s short, making it easy to type, write, doodle, mention, quote, think of, etc.

Hmm, it makes me wonder why “Carding” was the name of our main character. Maybe I should’ve named him Kard, Karl, Cob, Koby, Yeye, Macy, Andy, John, Joe, Kris, Pete, Boy, Kane, Cane, Kelv, Tiu, Wim, Miw, Quo, Pow, Wop, Tan, Nat, Wer, Rew, Ter, Ret, Yet, Tey, Poy, Yop, Yale, Lock, Vick, Vic, Civ, Kciv, Mix, Xim, Zam, Maze, Book, Koob, Loop, Pool, More, Erom, Sore, Paw, Wap, Wipe, Biv, Vib, Roy, Roye, Beck, Give, Giv, Kix, Quek, Kweq, Ball, Lump, Plum, or any three to four letter name because typing three or four letters is a lot less exhausting compared to typing a name that consists of seven letters. So, yeah. Maybe I’ll change it to, hmm…

After typing an open parenthesis, the word “thinking”, and a closed parenthesis for ten times, I still can’t think of a new-fangled name for Carding. Well, to be honest, I’m not bothered every time I type his name. I mean, sure, it consists of seven different letters, but seven is definitely less than ten. So, there.

Anyway, So, Bob and Carding’s mom checked every… wait. Maybe I should also give a name for Carding’s mom. Hmm, Mel. Let’s name her Mel. Yeah. What a short name. It isn’t really generic, but it’s nice. I’ll go with that. Wooo!!

Part 1

After his birthday, he turned 6. Well, duh. What comes after five? You don’t have to ask a mathematician unless you haven’t acquired the necessary foundations regarding numbers, though I doubt that because you’re reading this right now. If you don’t have the capability to read, then you wouldn’t waste your time surfing the net because everything from online games to fan sites require you to read. So, there. Yey…

His days as a six year old kid were quite all right, since his parents are still earning a lot of moolah. Being a son of parents than earn a lot of moolah is analogous to owning a money making machine. Wow. I wish I had a money making machine. HAHA!! (Epal yung narrator eh noh?)

Three days before Carding’s big 7^th birthday bash, his mother asked him what he wanted. After that, she died. Yeah, she died. D, I, E, D. Died. Her condition is analogous to beings that have no more life. Poof. Gone. Dust. Bye bye…

Okay, I’m totally kidding.

She said, “Carding, ano gusto mo para sa seventh birthday mo? Original DVD games? Bagong video gaming console? Maraming-maraming clothes na uso? Bagong phone? Mas high tech na pc? Statue ni Apollo? Replica ng Mount Rushmore? Malaking TV para sa room mo? Upgrade ng Internet speed? Country na nakapangalan sa ‘yo? Red sports car?”

Carding murmured to himself, “Wow. Daming money ni Mommy ah. Pera na lang kaya hingin ko para magshare kami nung narrator nung story na to na napakalabo.” He pondered on his choices. Well, it’s hard to think about a gift since his condition of analogous to that of a give away quiz with one multiple choice question with a million choices.

After a few moments of internalization, Carding replied, “Mommy, alam ko na! gusto ko ng purple na wig!”

“Huh?” his mom said, “Anak, nagbibiro ka ba?”

“Hindi po, mommy. Gusto kop o talaga ng purple na wig para sa seventh birthday ko!”

“Bakit mo naman naisip na magkaroon ng purple na wig?“

When Carding was about to answer the question, his mother’s phone rang. As I stated in the first chapter, we live in a world where only idiots would neglect important office calls, his mom answered the call.
